Midterm Study Guide Question # 1
Tomāto or tomâto potātoe or potâto although they sound a little different they are saying the same thing. Even though a phrase may be reiterated differently they can still have the same meaning. When you have greed and control the "little man"(middle and lower class) are the ones who suffers. They are the ones trampled upon by the larger wealthier corporations and leadership. How can you sleep comfortably with multimillion dollar properties while there are families some with a child(ren) who is using compressed paper (cardboard) as shelter. This is one of the biggest get rich quick schemes, legitimized through political and corporate hierarchy, while losing this country's motto "In God We Trust" and hypocritically feeding those whose wallets are already bulged with the blood and sweat of those who are scrapping to keep a sense of home for them and their family a reality instead of a dreamed memory.
Corporate and political greed has overtaken much of this country’s social, economical, and emotional integrity. Through focusing on how much capital gain one can achieve, at the highest speeds, with the lowest amount of investments. Once that plateau has been reached, the hunger for more possesses the feeble minded… through a simple taste of rule, control, and prosperity. Wealth is being built on how well you can negotiate at the table of prosperity and greed. Taking more than what’s given out holding it close while raking in your surrounding unfortunates with minimal if any prosperities.
While they’re clawing at the walls of miss opportunities and sliding back to the bottom, pained from slippery sharp edges as they pearce and gouge them as the blood and sweat of their labor go in vain of their hopes and dreams. This is the absolute poor, non working and working poor, this is also the working class on the verge of losing everything with one paycheck away from being homeless, foodless, and hopeless.
Multimillion dollar investors getting higher tax breaks the longer they keep their money in long term investments. So when they lose everything they call their best friend Mr Federal Reserve a.k.a. taxpayers money, to bail them out of yet another deal gone bad. Similar to what happened in the housing market. Every investor wanted to prey upon those who looked for a way out of a situation hoping for a better life to find the only ones with a better life were the ones who sold the timed bomb investments. The stronger preying on the weak all for the love of money.
How can this country truly be a godly nation when the corrupt corporate world acts as heathens and hypocrites. Going to political rescue for “salvation” instead of seeking true salvation from their selves and their greed. Maybe it’s time for this “godly nation” to start acting more godly by resetting the standards of good moral and ethics, by showing concern through actions to help the needing and not just showing to show on television to bust political ratings.
